CIS Tax for subcontractors

Get your CIS tax back — you've probably overpaid

If you work in the construction industry as a subcontractor, your contractor deducts CIS tax before paying you. Most subcontractors overpay. We'll get it back.

You've earned it — let's reclaim it

Under the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS), contractors deduct 20% (or 30% if you're not registered) from your pay before you even see it. That money goes to HMRC as a tax deposit — but it's often more than you actually owe. We work with electricians, plumbers, plasterers, groundsworkers, bricklayers, tilers, carpet fitters, labourers and all kinds of tradespeople to file their self assessment, claim every allowable expense, and get the overpaid tax refunded. Many of our CIS clients get a significant rebate every year.

What's included

CIS registration & verification

We'll make sure you're properly registered under CIS so you're only deducted at 20%, not 30%.

Self assessment tax return

We file your annual self assessment, offsetting your CIS deductions against your actual tax liability.

Expenses claimed in full

Tools, PPE, fuel, van costs, phone, workwear — we make sure every allowable expense is claimed.

Tax rebate handled for you

Once your return is filed, any overpaid CIS tax is refunded directly to your bank account by HMRC.

Mileage & travel costs

If you travel between sites, those costs are deductible. We'll make sure you're not leaving money on the table.

Fixed fee, no surprises

You'll know exactly what you're paying us before we start — and it'll be a lot less than what we get back for you.
